2019 New Year's Resolutions

It's crazy how fast time passes by. How come 2018 felt quicker than a blink of an eye? I guess I had so much fun and did so much that it all passed by so fast! In 2018, one of the most memorable things I did was teach English in Korea for the summer. I learned so much about myself and about Korea and teaching in general. I might even do it again in the future!
It's Okay To Relax

I think a lot of people don't realize how busy I am. And I feel guilty always being so busy, so I tend to spread myself very thin and have too many projects and homework is all over the place. Like ahhhhhh!
WINDOWSHOP IN KOREA // Kakao Friends Store in Starfield Hanam Mall

I love windowshopping in Korea!
--
On the first week I came here for teaching English, I decided to check out Starfield Hanam Mall which is located near Paldang station. You have to take a taxi or bus though (BUS #50 Stop at Starfield) because this ain`t walkable from the station at all.
While browsing around, my foodie senses started tingling as I slightly walked near this store called Wonderplace. It seems to be a store selling street and sporty type of clothing but what caught my eye were these shoes with foodie packaging!
These slippers and shoes are made to mimic snickers and kit kat candies! Some of my fave candies to be honest... |
I saw slippers and shoes that have nostalgic packaging meant to mimic classic candies and cereals! HOW FREAKIN` COOOOL.
Here is the store front. I usually wouldn't go to that type of store since it looks too street and sporty for me ...LOL but the food. THE FOODIE STUFF! I seriously wanted to buy it all but one pair was .... 69,000 Korean won. THAT IS BASICALLY $69. UNBELIEVABLY EXPENSIVE. So.... I will just enjoy with my eyes.
Do you know what this is supposed to remind you have? Nverquit...NESQUIK! I used to drink Nesquik when I was little. Chocolate milk was yummmm.
Just look at them cool slippers! I kind of want.... but my bank account T___T. *cries* (debating if I should use my English Teacher pay for this....hmmm but I don't even wear slippers...ever...)
I even love the way they do the nutrition facts. LOL to the teeeeeeee |
Upon further research through the cyber world, I discovered that these shoes are from a brand called SWITFISH.
Apparently, it is a brand that is based in Seoul and Los Angeles. And actually a very very new brand too. SWITFISH just launched in 2018 in Vegas and specializes in making fun and witty footwear in collaborations with artists and more!
Check out their website and more shoes here:
And... they have an INSTAGRAM:
Y'all know I love Oreo's, so this Oreo inspired slipper makes me wanna throw all my money away. THAT PACKAGING THOUGHHHH.
You can find Wonderplace, the store, in many malls and locations in Korea! I've seen it around in Myeongdong and Lotte Department store before!
If someone gives out Halloween candy this year, please let the candy be this.... |
On the reals though I honestly think the shoes look kinda ugly. Like... the bottom is so poofy and bulky looking. Are they even comfy!? And the slippers basically looks like someone slapped on a knock-off candy wrapper on it. But... the packaging... is where it's at~~. Now that I think about it... I might like the packaging more than the actual footwear itself.

What do you think of this brand? And the delicious packaging?? Would you fork over $50 - $70 for one of these kicks?
Or nawwwwwwwwwww ?!

Moving to Korea + Korean Skincare Giveaway

Every time I go to Korea, I always overbuy skincare products. The packaging is uber cute and I love how it's so affordable too! There are just so many different types that I want to try them all! And, they are great gifts!
My favorite store is probably Etude House because the store is bubbly and pastel pink. All of their products are packaged cutely and girly. I am not usually the girly type but I fall in love with their products every time.
Another fave of mine is Tony Moly solely for the product packaging, although I am not too big of a fan of their products as much as Etude House.
Holika Holika, another brand, won me over with their Gudetama collaboration. It is just too perfect of a collab!
And even Daiso Korea has so so many cosmetics too that I bought a bunch to test since they are less than $3.

Review | Sudio Vasa Bla Wireless Earphones
Thursday, March 1, 2018
I have never owned good earbuds before. I am more of an headphone type of person actually but those are too bulky to carry around all the time. When browsing for some earbuds, I always question the durability and sound quality. On top of that, the inconvenience of the tangles of all the wires makes it so annoying! Oh, and don't even get me started about how the earbuds never fit!
I love love looooooove finding street art and taking photos of and with street art! I had a little adventure down Abbot Kinney Rd in Venice Beach and found some pretty coool street art to take some photos with! If you're a coffee lover then Abbot Kinney has many cute and hipster AND trendy Coffee Shops! I personally don't like coffee so none of them interested me... BUT THE DECOR was so inviting I just had to take a peek in some! There are a lot of clothing stores on this street as well but I can assure you they are not friendly on your wallet. I thought they were quite expensive actually. Parking can be a pain but I recommend parking on the next street over. There is free parking in a lot available but it's limited to only 2 hours. It's mostly filled though so try to find street parking! Every time I've been here, I was lucky enough to be able to find free street parking without worry!
Hope you guys enjoy the photos!
Hope you guys enjoy the photos!
If you ever wondered how I dress in real life, then I hope these photos here are enough to satisfy your curiosity. But if you never wondered and never even thought about it at all, this is just me trying to accomplish one of my blogger dreams of being a street fashionista!
